ORDINANCE NO. #595
BEING AN ORDINANCE CREATING AND PROVIDING FOR THE OPERATION
OF THE LAUREL AMBULANCE SERVICE AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY,
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL:
Section 1. That the City of Laurel shall operate an emergency ambulance
service.for the inhabitants of the City of Laurel and the immediate
surrounding area.
Section 2. That the requirements for the driver and or attendants on said
ambulance service shall be as set up by the Ambulance Committee
of the Laurel City Council and subject to Council approval..
Section 3. That the Laurel Ambulance Service shall be under the immediate
operation of the Auxiliary Police Department of the City of Laurel.
Section 4. That all pay for operation of said ambulance and all charges to be
made by said ambulance service shall be set by the committee
of the City Council responsible for the operation of. the ambulance
service and subject to Council approval.
Section 5. That all funds shall be collected and disbursed in connection with
the operation of the ambulance through the City Clerk's office.
Section B. Any ordinance or portion thereof in conflict with this ordinance
is herewith repealed.
Section 7. It is herewith determined that an emergency exists and this
ordinance is to be in full force and effect upon its passage.
