HomeMy WebLinkAboutOrdinance No. 571-AAD ORDINANCE NO. BEING AN ORDINANCE CREATING A LAUREL CITY COUNTY PLANNING BOARD ; PROVIDING FOR THE MEMBERS THEREOF; AND APPROPRIATING MONEY FOR ITS USE. BE IT ORDAINED By the City Council of the City of Laurel: Section 1: This ordinance shall henceforth be known as the City County planning Board Ordinance. Section 2: There is herewith created a Planning Board to be known as the Laurel City County Planning Board, pursuant to Statute No. 11-3801, Revised Codes of Montana, 1947; That the City of Laurel shall join with Yellowstone County, Montana; said Planning Board to be a joint planning board with Yellow- stone County, Montana. The said Planning Board to have the powers and duties as prescribed by Chapter 38 of Title I, Part 2, in the Revised Codes of the State of Montana, 1947. Section 3: The said Laurel City County Planning Board shall consist of nine members; of which the City's appointees shall be two members to be appointed by the City Council, who shall be either members of the said Council or City employees, and two members to be appointed by the Mayor of the City of Laurel. All such appointees of the Mayor or of the Council shall be resi- dents and freeholders of the said City of Laurel. Section 4: The said City of Laurel shall bear fifty percent (509)' of all costs and expenses incurred, pursuant to law by said Planning Board. That there is herewith appropriated the sum of Five Hundred and No/100 Dollars ($500.00) credited to the funds of the said Laurel City County Planning Board to cover the City's share of said expenses for the current fiscal year. Section 5: The said jurisdictional area of the said Planning Board shall include the area within the incorporated limits of the City of Laurel to the Stillwater County line upon the West; to the Carbon County line upon the South; the extent of four and one-half (4 1/2) miles from the City limits to the remaining area. provisions herein contained are hereby repealed. Section 8: This ordinance shall be in full force and effect thirty (30) days after passage herewith, and passed and approved this 3rd day of August, 1965. Section 6: All proposed subdivisions, plats, certificates of survey shall be presented to and meet the approval of the said Laurel City County Planning Board within the jurisdictional area above described before the same shall be filed of record or accepted for record or brought within ;the k. city limits of the City of Laurel.
