BEING AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING, ABANDONING AND VACATING
A PORTION OF MAIN STREET AT ITS INTERSECTION OF OHIO AVENUE
AND ALDER AVENUE IN THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA
WHEREAS, there has been filed a petition in the office of the
City Clerk of the City of Laurel, by the Laurel Co--operative Association, a
corporation, praying that a certain portion, as hereinafter described, of
Main Street at its intersection of Ohio Avenue and Alder Avenue in the City
of Laurel, Montana, be discontinued, abandoned and vacated by said City;
AND WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for hearing
protests on said petition was duly published in the Laurel Outlook, a
weekly newspaper of general circulation, published in the said City of
Laurel, Montana, in two issues thereof, published on Wednesday, the 3rd
day of March, 1965, and Wednesday, the 10th day of March, 1965, and three
copies of said notice were posted in three public places in the City of Laurel,
by order of the City Council of the said city;
AND WHEREAS, in said notice, Tuesday, the 16th day of
March, 1965, at 7:30 o'clock P. M. , in the City Council Chamber of the
City Hall in the City of Laurel, Montana, was fixed as the time and place
for hearing protests on said petition;
AND WHEREAS, no protests were made in writing or in
person;
AND WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Laurel,
Montana, finds that petitioner is the sole owner of all of the property
abutting on that side of said street to be discontinued, abandoned and
vacated and said portion of the street can be abandoned, vacated and dis-
continued without detriment to the public interest;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY
COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA:
That the following described portion of Main Street at its
intersection of Ohio Avenue and Alder Avenue within the City of Laurel,

Montana, and the same is hereby discontinued, abandoned and vacated
as a street, being as follows:
Beginning at a point which is the Southwest corner
of Block 28 of the Allard Subdivision to the City
of Laurel, County of Yellowstone, State of Montana;
thence in a general Southeasterly direction along the
extended East line of ghio Avenue a distance of
20 feet; thence left 70 54' a distance of 28. 6 feet;
thence North along the extended West line of Alder
Avenue a distance of 30. 77 feet to the Southeast
corner of said Block 28; thence Southwesterly along
the North line of Main Street a distance of 37. 6 feet
to the point of beginning, containing 019 acres, more
or less.
Passed and approved this 16th day of March, 1965.
