B711G AN ORDINANCE DISCONTINUING, ABANDONING, AND VACATING
THAT CERTAIN ALLEY IN BLOCK. THIRTEEN (13), OF HAGEMAN SUBDIVISION,
THIRD FILING, TO THE CITY OF LAUREL, YELLOWSTONE COUNTY, MONTANA.
WHEREAS, on the 15th day of January, 1963, a petition was duly
filed in the office of the City Clerk of then City of Laurel, Montana,
by Dick Finney & Associates, praying that a certain portion of the
property, as hereinafter described., of Block Thirteen (13), H ageman
Subdivision Third Filing, in the City of Laurel,, Montana, be dis con-»
tinued, abandoned,, and vacated by said City;
AND WHEREAS, notice of the time and place for hearing protest
of paid petition was duly published in the Laurel Outlook,, a newspaper
of general circulation published in the City of Laurel, Montana, and
in an issue thereof, published on Wednesday, the 23rd day of January,
1963 and three copies of said notice were posted in three public places
of said City by Order of the City Council of the said City;
AND WHEREAS, in said notice, Tuesday, the 5th. day of February,
1963, at 7:30 otclock, P. M., at the City Council Chambers in the City
Hall at Laurel., Montana, was the time and place fixed for hearing
protests on said petition, and whereas no protests were made in writing
or in person; and whereas the City Council of Laurel, Montana., finds
that said petitioners are the sole owners of all the property abutting
on said alley to be discontinued, abandoned and vacated and that said
alley to be discontinued, abondoned and vacated can. so be done without
detriment to the public interest;
N(V THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF L.ATIREL, MONTANA: TYiat the following described alley in the City
of La+a.rel, Montana, to-w t ;
All of the Alley in Block Thirteen (13), Hagema.n Subdivision,
Third Filing, lying in section 16 T 23, R ?h 7, M1. P. M'., Yellowstone
County, Montana, and more particularly described as follows:
Beginning at the South East (SF) corner of Lot S txteen (16),
in Block Thirteen (13), of Hageman 7ubdi.visi:on Third F'i.?l.ing, thence
North a distance of 27?a feet to the Northeast, (NE) corner of Lot
't'wenty (20), thence East a distance of 2P feet to the Northwest (NW)
corner of Lot One (1), thence South a distance= of '65 :feet,, thence
South 700 Blest, a distance of 21 feet to the point of beginning, so as to
contain all of the alley between lots Otte (1.), through Four (4), and Lots
Sixteen (16), through Twenty (20). of Block. Thirteen (13), Hageman
Subdivision, Third Filing, and that the City Council vacate discontinue
and abandon the same and the same be and hereby is discontinued, aban-
doned, and vacated.
Passed by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, and
approved by the Mayor of the City of Laurel, Montana, this 5th day of
March, 1963.
