MEMBERS PRESENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Andy Muri- Chairman Marvin Carter John Goodman Robert Western Cal Cumin, City Planner Cheryll Lund, City Secretary Dennis & Gloria Allwin, 902 Date Ave. Mike Baney, Rep. for Everhard and Schessler FILE #93-01. Dennis & Gloria Allwin. Fee paid. Notice of Public Hearing ran twice in the Laurel Outlook on July 21 and 28 1993. Ail neighbors within 300 feet of 185 Golf Course Road were notified on July 21, 1993 by mail of the Public Hearing. No protests were received from any neighbor. Dennis Allwin spoke concerning this application. They are in the process of building a new home at the corner of Old Hwy. 10 and Golf Course Road. They live in a mobile home located at 902 Date Avenue and would like permission to temporarily move the mobile home onto the property while they build the house. The zoning on the property is RE 20,000 which does not allow mobile homes. They feel that they would only need the mobile home for a year or less. They do not own the mobile home. The owner of the mobile home has plans to move the mobile home to his ranch, once the Allwins' are no longer in need of it. The Allwins stated that if they are given permission to move the mobile home onto their property they will do so around August 23rd. Cal stated that he feels that this application can be approved if there is a strict time limit set on when the mobile is to be moved off. Joe also feels that a strict time limit can be put on the approval of this and then it would be have to be adhered to by the A!lwins'. He did then mention that if the Allwins' did not adhere to the time Limit then have the mobile home in a RE 20,000 zone would become a zoning violation and they could be taken to court and fined for every day that the violation remained. The Allwins' understood this and feel that a year will be a sufficient amount of time. Motion by Robert Wester, seconded by Marvin Carter, that application ~93-01 be approved for the temporary placement of a mobile home at 185 Golf Course Road, and that said mobile home will be required to be moved off of 185 Golf Course Road on or before August 31, 1994. Motion carried with a vote of 4--0 in favor of. Discussion on an application that the Board will be hearing in September concerning the placement of a house on a lot that does not meet the required square footage for a house in a RE 6,000 zone. The application has been received and paid for and the meeting on this will be held on September 14, 1993. In the meantime Cal suggested that the Board members go visit the location, (400 Block of W. 5th Street) to get a better idea of what is involved. The meeting was adjourned at 8:10 p.m. Respectfully submitted, Cheryll Lund, Secretary BOARD OF ADJUSTMENT LAUREL.
