MEMBERS PRESENT: OTHERS PRESENT: Andy Muri, Chairman Bruce Teeters Johnny Goodman Bob Western Marvin Carter Steve Huschka, 416 7th Avenue Cheryll Lund, City Secretary File No. 96-07. Huschka- 416 7th Avenue Fees paid. Two advertisements put in Laurel Outlook legal section, as required. No protests received. Steve Huschka has requested a relief of setbacks in order to add on to an existing garage that is in violation of the 2 foot sideline setback. The north wall of the existing garage is sitting approximately 12- 18 inches off of the property line. He wishes to add the new garage on and stay within the wall line that is 12-18 inches off of property line. He also has requested to build the west wall of the garage right to the alley property line, with the eave extending 12 inches beyond the property line. The committee after careful consideration and discussion recommended approval of the variance for the north building line of the new garage to remain on the same line as the existing garage, but to deny the garage to extend beyond the 2 foot (from the eaves) required code. Motion by Bob Western, seconded by Marvin Carter, to allow the variance to build a garage along the existing north property line (12-18" off of property line) but deny the request to build within the 2 foot (from the eaves) required setback on the west.
