HomeMy WebLinkAboutEmergency Services Committee Minutes 10.22.2018 MINUTES CITY OF LAUREL EMERGENCY SERVICES COMMITTEE MONDAY, OCTOBER 22, 2018 Public Input: Citizens may address the committee regarding any item of business that is not on the agenda. The duration for an individual speaking under Public Input is limited to three minutes. While all comments are welcome, the committee will not take action on any item not on the agenda. General Items 1. Review and approve the minutes of the June 25, 2018 meeting – Irv Wilke made a motion to approve the minutes of the June 25, 2018 meeting, Taryn Massa seconded the motion, all in favor, motion passes. New Business 1. The Committee was handed the current regulations related to parking for review. The question was asked if the Committee would like to review these regulations and discuss them at the January 2019 meeting. The Committ ee voiced that they felt reviewing the parking regulations was something that needed to happen as parking was a n issue in some areas of the City. The Police Chief stated that the Committee should work with the Mayor on the topic. There was a brief discussion regarding current parking issues. Old Business 1. The Committee requested the Laurel Municipal Code (LMC) for Ambulance. The Clerk/Treasurer stated that the LMC was accessible online. Other Items The Police Chief, Rick Musson, spoke to the Committee about the future of the Police Department as his last day is October 31, 2018. He asked for the Committee to continue to support the new Police Chief and the community. He thanked the Committee for t he work they had done and wished them all well. The Committee thanked the Chief for all h is many years of service to the Community. Announcements 1. The next meeting will be held January 28, 2019 at 6:00pm
