Dear Mayor,
I wish to be removed from this appointment. I had reservations about it initially but decided to
give it a tq.
Bein€y familiar with the normal arrangement of Council committees being members of the City
Council and citv staff. I was not sure how effective an "outsider" could be on the committee.
Now that I have had time and attendance at the meetings, etc. I find that I am, in effect, a fifth
wheel. Citizens like myself have the opportunity to voice concerns to their councilperson and at
the Council meetings. There is no need for such a citizen to be on the committee.
I have learned about some of the infrastructure of Laurel and about ongoing projects. Kurt does a
very commendable job with the various aspects of his position.
I appreciate the opportunity to participate for whatever extent that I have.
