Subject: Appointment to the laurel Airport Authority Board,
Dear Mayor Nelson,
Please consider this my formal letter of interest for appointment to an opening on
the Laurel Airport Authority Board. I have a strong management, business and
aviation background, graduating from Eastern Montana College with a B.S.B.A. in
Business Administration in 1984.. I am currently or formally have been a member
and active in numerous aviation organizations such as, Airplane Owners and Pilots
Association, Montana Pilots Association, Association of Montana Aerial Applicators
, Helicopter Association International and others. I also served on the Montana
Aeronautics Board for a term of 8 years and am extremely familiar with the Loan
and Grant process and airport operations. I am attaching my resume of
qualifications for this opening and believe I am well qualified.
I wish to serve the City of Laurel well in this capacity. Thank You for your

12,500 hours.
® Rotorcraft External Load, long line qualified with FAA part
133/137 Operator Certificates.
® Contractor for USDA Forest Service for past 16 years for
Aerial Wildland Firefighting. Perfect safety record.
® Commercial aircraft operator and certificate holder since
1991. No accidents or incidents.
• 25+ years agricultural spraying and seeding fixed wing and
rotor wing.
® Aircraft Maintenance and Refurbishment. 20 years A+P
mechanic certification with Inspection Authorization.
® Hangar Rentals and Ag Chemical Sales

® Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from
Eastern Montana College.
® Montana State Aeronautics Board Member for 8 years.
Appointed by Governor Marc Racicot. Primarily The Board
acts in an advisory capacity to the department and has
statutory authority over allocation of airport development
loan and grant funds and pavement preservation grant
funds. The nine -members represent various facets of the
industry of which I represented the Association of Montana
Aerial Applicators.
