Laurel Urban Renewal Agency (LURA)
AUGUST 22ND, 2017, LAUREL LIBRARY CONFERENCE ROOM
Meeting was called to order by Judy Goldsby. Roll call/Attendance: Quorum of voting members present:
Mardie Spalinger, Don Smarsh, Daniel Klein and Dean Rankin. Advisory board members: Janice
Lehman and Steve Solberg. City Staff: Heidi Jensen and Noel Eaton. City Council: Rick Herr. Beartooth
RC&D: Sue Taylor
Introductions: Ken Olson
Approval of Minutes from Previous Meeting: Dan made the motion and Dean seconded.
Old Business:
a. Noel gave an update of SE 4th & SID 118 progress.
b. Facade Improvement Grant for the Firemen's Memorial Park. Dan made the motion
and Don seconded.
c. South Montana Ave. paving update.
New Business:
Reports:
a. Technical Assistance Grants for A Haus Realty and Mountain Mudd were approved by Don and
seconded by Mardie.
b. The Facade Assistance Grants for Tom Mack, MJ Studios and Microbooks were sent back for
clarification of scope of work for each individual applicant. Dan made the motion and Mardie
seconded.
c. Trading Post/King Coin Technical Grants and internal work of 80 hours for each building.

a. City Administration: Water Intake update.
b. City Planner: Riverside Park and Round About updates. Adding a TIFF page to the City
website.
c. City Treasurer: None.
d. Big Sky EDA: Sports Complex update.

Next Meeting: September 18th, 2017 at 11:00 at the Laurel Library.
