Others: Fred Wennemar, Diane Oversen, Darrell McGillen,
Bob Dantic.
The Kiddies Parade route was changed. The parade will
form at the First Security Bank Parking Lot, go ~outh
Montana Ave. to Main St., west on Main St. to First
Ave.,north on First Ave..to Riccl~s Parking Lot.
The advertising committee's theme will be "Stay in Laurel
on the Fourth--It's a Family Affair." The overall theme of
the day's events is "For Those Who Served." The committee
will pass out 10,000 fliers (sack stuffers) which will be
printed by the Laurel Outlook at a cost of $232.50. A fund
will be set up for the cost of the fliers with several
organizations and businesses donating money. Marvin Carter
and Diane Oversen will be on Channel 8 July 1 at noon to
advertise the event.
McGillen is working on getting a Fl6 fly by prior to the
fireworks (about 9 p.m.) and on getting a sound system for
use by the fire department.
M~or Pat Hermanson o.~ Billings, a veteran of the Gulf War~
will be the parade marashall.
]he Fire Department needs 3 parking spaces on East Sixth
St. reserved from noon July 5 until 4 p.m. July 4.
McGillen will present a daytime fireworks display for
children during the Kid~ Day activities being sponsored
tr~e Chamber of Commerce.

Porta Potties will be emptied by Bob Frank at 5 a.m.
7hursday~ July 4 so they can be moved about 6 a.m. to
Thomson Park. The Jaycees and Firemen will move the porta
potties.
