COUNCIL CHAMBERS MEMBERS PRESENT: Chairman- Donna Kilpatrick Vicki Walton Keith Thompson Mark Kaufman Kathy Kraft The deadline for requesting an activity in Thompson Park on the Fourth is June 14th. The Jaycees are requesting two ~- one Friday night and one Saturday night. Tentative plans call for the dances to be held at the corner of Fifth Avenue and Main Street, pending permission from the owner. The pancake breakfast will be held Sunday, July 4th in Fireman's Park. The Kiddies Parade will start at 12:30 p.m.; line-up will be at 12:15 p.m. The parade will begin at the FirSt Security parking lot, go south on Montana Avenue to Main Street, west on Main to First Avenue to Ricci's parking lot. The main parade will be at 1:00 p.m. with line-up at 10:30 a.m. The parade will originate at Wood's Pow'r Grip parking lot on West Main Street. A chili cook-off will be held in Fireman's Park on Saturday July 3rd from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. A chili cooking school is being planned for about two weeks prior to the cook-off. Winner's from this contest will advance to the cook-off held during the fair in billings. Sidewalk sales day will be Saturday, July 3rd. Restricted parking on First Avenue from Sixth Street to Ninth Street will be discussed as well as parking for the American Legion tournament. Final plans for all activities scheduled on the Fourth must be completed prior to the June 14th meeting of the Fourth of July Committee in order to receive final approval of the City Council on June 15th. Activities set so far are the Chili Cook-off, the two dances for the Jaycees, the Chamber of Commerce Parade, the Kiddies Parade, the breakfast, the dunking booth, selling of pizza, a dime toss, and selling cotton candy.
