DPW CONFERENCE ROOM
The Tree Board met an August 28"', 2008. They discussed a GPS system to pinpoint
individual trees in the various city parks. Emily Eaton volunteered to check into a high graphic
computer to complete the system-
Kurt Markegard reported that he had applied for a grant from the DNRC for a Tree City
Award. Other grants were discussed, but all need matching funds from the city. Riverside Park
would have historic value from Lewis and Clark, the Bozeman Trail, and Chief Joseph.
The well-being of the Centennial Tree in Thompson Park was discussed. It was decided to
wait and see.
The next meeting will be at 5:00 AM an September 8~`, at the Cemetery to inventory and evaluate
the trees there.
