In attendance were: President Jared Kaiser, Co-Vice Presidents Becky Dickerson and Gary Hodde, and Exec. Secretary Joanne Flynn; Directors: Mark Cloud, Dean Rankin, and Kammy Thurman. Member, Coral Creek and Guest Mandy Brottem fromMSU Billings who presented the internship and work study programs Jared called the meeting to order and held a moment of silence. The minutes from the Juul 10th meeting were presented for approval. Gary made a motion to approve, seconded by Lumpy. All approved. The financial report was given via on-line balance. Becky made a motion to approve seconded by Dean, all approved. Jared asked for approval of the stated bills, Dean, made a motion to pay the bills as stated, seconded by Lumpy. All approved. Jared introduces Mandy Brottem from MAU Billings Career Center. Mandy gave us a presentation on the internship and work study programs that we qualify for through them which uses students as either paid or unpaid employees. Explaining that each student works 35 hours for 1 credit and usually works off 3 credits per semester. If the decision is made to pay them, the Chamber would be responsible for 25% of their hourly wage plus workman's comp. OJd Business Laurel Brochure -- Joanne stated that the 2000 Brochures have arrived and the cost was $1338.04. Networklna Program -Joanne stated that meetings have been postponed until Sept when things are not so busy for everyone. Time and place of the next meeting will be announced. Chamber Centennial Committee (Jared, Lumpy, Aletta, Becky, Joanne) Joanne gave a report on the Exhibitors and Food and Craft Vendors and stated that all was moving along. Membership Drive -there were no new members this time. Farmers Market results were given for the last markets. New Business Presentation to City on Aug 8`" was discussed and Lumpy made a motion to approve, seconded by Kammy. Ogen Forum Joanne suggested that we have an after the 4`" meeting and compose notes on improvements. Coral stated that she would like to have another brochure holder and more brochures for the service area. Joanne said that she will be out distributing them in the next few days.
