Laurel Montana Mayor Appointment Letter of Interest
Please consider me for the appointed position of Mayor of Laurel MT. I was born and raised
in Laurel and graduated from Laurel High School. During my working life, I have completed
college classes and a tremendous number of technical training classes. I am very active in
the Laurel Community. As you will note in my resume I have experience as a town council
member and Mayor in Bridger Montana, serving 18 years. I am fully aware of the unique
accounting and tax situations of a city in Montana. I have no other agenda other than
trying to make Laurel City Government as efficient and accessible as possible to citizens of
Laurel.
Listed in my resume you will see that I am very committed to the Laurel Community. I have
also obtained advanced training in Management and Equal Opportunities.
With my previous experience in local government, I would be able to become a functional
Mayor for Laurel quickly. I understand Montana Code and the rules the City functions
under Montana law. My father served as a Laurel City council member and I would
consider it an honor if appointed.
