i understand the unique pasition the City af Laurel is currently in and know that both#he current City
Council President and Uce President wilE not be seated an the Laurel Giy Council come January 2,2018.
t know the City Council wiil need ta have a president and vice president seated on January 2,2018 so
that they may be able to aperate the city should no Mayor be instalted an that date.Ta better serve the
city if the above events da unfold 1 respectfulfy resign my position as Council Vice President effective
today December 12,2417.This vacancy wi{!allaw the I.aurel City Council to elect to this position a ;
council member wha wili stil!be seated or�the council on 3anuary 2,2018 who may conduct all business ;
necessary of the City of Laurel in the absence of bath the Mayor and the Council President.
