Discussion on vendors selhng in the park. Larry presented information on the city having
to be the head of corporation for businesses selling in the park.
Larry suggested that only non-profit organizations be allowed this year, as the other
needs to be looked into more thorou~fly.
Discussion on having non-profit organizations only in park perimeter. Discussion on
charging $60.00 for a business license and $100.00 which will be refunded ffthe people
show up the ne,ct day to help clean up the park. Discussion on waiving $60.00 for the
license on the Fourth of Ju~. Lma'y will recommend that the City Council stick with the
$100.00 for charitable and stick with the $60.00 license.
Alan Hovious recommended that we have a separate fee for profit organizations. Larry
McCaun suggested that non-profit organizations have a one-day license of $15.00 plus
$100.00 for clean up, which will be refunded. Profit organizations would have a $550.00
non-refundable fee.
IYfiles recommended a one-day Fourth of July' fee of $15.00 for non-profit organizations
and $50.00 for profit organizations. Motion passed.
The deadline for applications for organizations is June 19th at 5 p.m. at City Hall.
Discussion on non-profit organizations walking around the park selling or just selling out
of a booth.
Discussion on closing some of East Sixth Street and blocking off East Eighth Street from
First Avenue to Pennsylvania and the alley east of the practice field.
Discussion on traffic control.
Debbie Ricci mentioned that "Feel the Power of Patriotism" is the theme for the Fourth
Of July. Debbie also discussed the parade route.
The next Fourth of July Committee meeting will be May 21*t
