Board Meeting Minutes
July 10th , 2008 -Owl

Meeting was held on July 10th, 200$ at Owl. In attendance were: President Jared Kaiser,
Co-Vice Presidents Becky Dickerson and Gary Hodde, and Exec. Secretary Joanne Flynn; Directors: Linda
Prickle, Mark Cloud, Don Smarsh, and Dean Rankin, Bob O'Dea, Steve Diefenderfer and Nancy Metzgar.

Jared called the meeting to order and held a moment of silence. The minutes from the June Z6th meeting
were presented far approval Mark made a motion to approve, seconded by Steve. All approved. Joanne
gave the current bank account balances and attached the reconciliation statement for June and listed the
monthly debits from the bank statement as well. Gary made a motion to approve seconded by Becky, all
approved. Jared asked far approval of the stated bills, Barb, made a motion to pay the bills as stated,
seconded by Linda. All approved.
Old Business
La re B ochure -- Joanne stated that another 2000 Brochures have been ordered.
Networkin P o am -Joanne stated that the next meeting will be on July 9th at the Owl.
]ulv 4t" Committee: There was much discussion concerning the July 4th events -Joanne mentioned that
she would like to have everyone make notes and on improvements. She will compose a list to help make
the next event rvn smoother. Both the Run and Parade could use more volunteers and more
communications with the Laurel Police Dept.
Joanne also attached a breakdown sheet showing the income and outgo from each event up to date.
Chamber entennial Committee (Jared, Lumpy, Aletta, Becky, Joanne) Joanne stated that all was
moving along -the Chamber will sponsor the parade on the 9th and set up another ~~Craft and Food Fair",
as well as working on exhibits in Firemen's Park
New Business
Membership Drive -none this time
Farmers Ma et "Natural Life News" ad copy was shown to all.
MSU Intern Pro ram Joanne stated that she would ask them to attend a meeting after the 4th
