Board Meeting Minutes ,
CITY OF LAUREL ''
The Meeting was held on October 12, 2017 at Fowl Play. In attendance were: Executive Board
Members: President- President- Mary Lou Batalden, Treasurer- Sandy Reese and executive secretary-
Mar�cia Hafner and Chamber Assistant Camilla Nelson. Directors: Carrie Smith, Roger Heimbigner, Billie
Lehman, Katie Whitmoyer,Ann Soares, Brent Renier Bruce Larson, Members: Jean Carol Thompson, Ken
Gomer, Evan Bruce, Heidi]ensen,and Ncel Eaton.
Mary Lou called the meeting to order. '

Old BUSINESS
■ Halbween -Cami reported progress for the Halloween camival. It will be the 31�@ LMS.
Businesses ar�e going to set up games or hand out candy. Let the Chamber know if you want to
partidpate. It was approved to get another$10 McDonald's gift card for the costume contest. Flyers
were passed out for the window decorating contest. It was voted approved to give the winner of the
contest 2 tickets to the annual meeting in January.
■ Christrnas brackets- Maraa talked to Mark Cloud from NW Energy and they are gang to try to weld
some of those new brackets directly to the poles. He thought they would just try the 2 new ones for
free. Marcia told him we'd pay for any materials.Think about if you11 be available to help put up on
Nov 26"'.
■ New board members-We will be submitting nominations in November to vote on in December.

Ribbon cuttings- None
OPEN FORUM
• Christmas Decorations- Roger brought up a map for Christmas Decorations.
• LARC- Is looking for stakeholders and people for focus group. Let Ken know if you are
interested in being on the focus group. They meet the 2"d Monday @ 6:30pm
• C2R- Jean Carol discussed the Farmers Market. Thanked the Chamber. Also wanted to
know if the Chamber would want to sponsor a Christmas decorating contest also. She
talked about C2R decorating trees at the Moss Mansion for 32 years. They want to donate
Christmas decorations to any business that would want to display them.
• Master Plan Park Meeting- Monday 23rd 5:30-7pm @ City Hall for Riverside Park
• Lura- Meeting Tuesday 11am @ Library
