Clair seconded the r�otion.-Motion-passed.- Correspondence None Circulation Report—compared to same time period last year... Traff'ic: down 11.89/0; ei�culation: all-iterr�s circulated totaled 3;501 (including 393-eBool�s);bool� circulation was up 13.7%,media circulation was down 5%, eBook checkouts for this month was 12.�%a of total book circulation, we circulated 304 items to partners and$8 items from other libraries; computers: internet use was down 93%, children's use was up down 42.4%,wi-fi use up 22.2%; patron cards: city registrations made up 67.6%of library users, county patrons 27.8% and non-resident registered patrons were 6%: There were 35 tech assists in September. Old Business The Federation meeting was held online via Go-To-Meeting. Clair and Nancy attended for Laurel from our library. After approval of the Spring 2017 minutes, Jennie Stapp gave an update o�t��Coa� Severa.�ce Ta�-mo�ies a�d-State Library budg�t cuts.-Public l�braries will be ge,i#ing their Federation monies but not sure of the timing other than before March 2018. We were all encaurag�d ta nat�p�nd money ur�til we have aur checks.�'he r�ext Federatian meeting is Mat�ch 10, 2018 at Big Horn County Public Library in Hardin. Nancy attended the Montana Shared Catalog meeting in Billings on Friday, October 6, 2017. There were 6 other member libraries in attendance at the Billings Public Library. MSC members voted to make changes to the Member Contract which needs to be signed and returned to MSL next month. The meeting was scheduled from 11:00 am to 3:00 pm. We ordered lunch on our own. '' The MLA Fa11 Retreat is being held October 15 & 16, 2017 at Chico Hot Springs. Arthur Vogele and Dixie Feller wi�i attend the retreat wit�i Naney. Instead of�sing her own vehicle, a ren`tal car will be used for travel. A report will be given next month,on the warkshops. New Business :One;of our patrons has volunteer�d xo become caretaker of the flower boxes around the library. :J�lie Osslund will be cleani�g out dead flowers;planting�ew bulbs and seeds; and the general overall care of the flowers:._If�here are.any suggestions,please let staff lrnow so they can pass it along to Julie. ! I i . � � � � � There will be a high school student inteming at the library for six weeks. Chloe Keating is a -student at Rapelje High�chool. �he�s interested in becoming a librarian. For her school-to-work program she has asked for the opportunity to volunteer at the Laurel Library. Chloe will be available to work for six�Vec�nesdays in dctober and November.
