Attending: LuAnne Engh, Walter Widdis, Dale Ahrens, Matt Wheeler, Bethany Keeler, City Clerk
Riverside Tree Removal:
• Matt has one bid and needs another before proceeding. Billings Tree Service has
submitted a bid for $1,000/tree
Arbor Day grants:
• Walmart—denied at this point. City needs to directly contact Walmart for approval of
non-profit status. Bethany will take this over
• DNRC—Mini - $500 can't be used for supplies,food, admin costs,Activities for youth
and adults does apply.
• DNRC—conservation grant- $10,000 not as many restrictions both grants near support
from the local conservation district. Ours is Yellowstone Conservation District, 1371
Rimtop Drive, Billings, MT 59105
Phone: 247-4420 Kurt will need to advise since he applies for the annual grant of
$750
• NW Energy—Dale and Bethany worked out the final parts for this grant requesting
$1,000—a budget of$3,000 needs to be submitted. Bethany will work on that from last
year's numbers.
SOW Trailer—Dale will ask if we can use that again
Alyson and Dale have met—the date is scheduled with the school calendar
Aaron—has contacted Dynamic Designs to work on the logo for shirts
Other—A community work day prior to Arbor Day was discussed. This is where we could paint,
remove dead trees,and do general clean up in the park. A date was not selected.
