Meeting called to order @ 19:05 hours by Chairman John Smith.
Members present were John Smith, Randy Hand, &Shane Linse
Minutes approved of last meeting. (6-27-2017)
Guest present: Craig & Nathan from KLJ Engineering
Claims approved: Normal and recurring for utilities, adv. expense for improvements,
office supplies and weed control chemicals. Insurance premium of$1,985.00 and Morrison
Maierle of $4,452.00 for FAA mandated independent review. (last item available for FAA
90% match) Fire contract also renewed with City of Laurel for$4,705.26.
Engineering Report, Craig Canfield
1. Final report not finalized for land acquisition project.
2. AWOS project close out report finalized, should have our funds of$19,400.00
returned soon.
3. Discussed having second stage of project next year.
a. Riverside OK with schedule unless oil spikes
b. FAA cannot honor increase in costs if this occurs, and second half of
project must have notice to proceed by June 1st 2018.
c. Construction will start ASAP on first phase.
Old Business:
1. Will Metz sidewalk. Scheduled after Labor day, concrete contractor
scheduled out until that time.
2. Signage for gates and emergency exit to be finalized.
New Business:
1. Need to look at feasibility to have alarms installed in Maintenance shed.
