In attendance were: Executive Board Members: President- Mary Lou Batalden,Vice President-Cindy Drake,Treasurer-Sandy Reese and Chamber Assistant Camilla Nelson. Directors: Came Smith, Roger Heimbigner, Billie Lehman,Ann Soares, Brent Renier,and Katie Whitmoyer, Members: Ken Gomer, Evan Bruce, Noelle Eaton and Matt. Mary Lou called the meeting to order. The minutes were approved: moved to approved The financial report was approved and bills were presented for payment: moved to approve-Cindy, Carrie 2nd. Bills to be Presented for payment: Payne West(Bond Insurance) $125.00 Old BUSINESS • LARC donation -A check for$2,100 was presented to LARC @ the Business after hours. • Christmas Decorations- Marcia contacted Dennis Eaton. We will set up a time when it gets a little cooler • Lunch &Learn-Was September 7th. 12 people attended New BUSINESS • Brackets for Christmas Decorations- New brackets on new decorations kept falling last year. WE bought heavy duty strapping and they still fall. Mark Cloud says the new decorations are just that much heavier and the wind is getting worse. Some of the options we discussed are one decoration on each pole or paying someone like Robertus to weld the brackets right onto the poles. It was asked that a quote be presented before we did anything with this. • Off season hours- Do we want to stay open 9-4 or go back to 9-1? It was discussed to stay open until 2 or 3 and see how that goes. • Insurance- Mary Lou presented a new policy through Farmers Insurance. Curtis Iverson was called to clarify some questions people had about still being allowed to throw candy during the 4th of July parade. That is covered by the new policy. It was moved to approve changing policies, Cindy- Billie 2nd Ribbon cuttings- Town & Country- September 26th @ 12pm FFA at the High School is opening a new greenhouse and would like to have a ribbon cutting once it is finished. The school district is a member. No date has been set yet. OPEN FORUM • Halloween- Ideas were brought up for doing a downtown trick or treating on Halloween. After some discussion we decided to do a Halloween carnival at the school. We will do a costume contest and also have a window decorating contest for the businesses.
