Board Meeting Minutes
June 26th, 2008 -Owl

Meeting was held on June 26th, 2008 at Owl. In attendance were: President Jared Kaiser,
Co-Vice President Becky Dickerson, and Exec. Secretary Joanne Flynn; Directors: Linda Frickle, Mark
Cloud, Don Smarsh, and Dean Rankin. Members, Stephanie Marr and Barbara McLeod
Jared called the meeting to order and held a moment of silence. The minutes from the June 12th meeting
were presented for approval Becky made a motion to approve, seconded by Dean. All approved. Joanne
gave the current bank account balances via online. Lumpy made a motion to approve seconded by Linda,
all approved. Jared asked for approval of the stated bills, Linda, made a motion to pay the bills as stated,
seconded by Mark. All approved.
Old Business
Laurel Brochure -- Joanne stated that the Brochures are all but gone. We need to get a quote on
ordering more.
]ulv 4t" Committee: There was a discussion on selling Centennial Items at the Class Reunion and Don
said that we could take whatever he had left and he would invoice us for what we sold. Barb made a
motion that we sell them, seconded by Linda. Joanne brought up the issue of ports potties and it was
decided that we will supply 5 for the reunion. We then talked about roping off Ricci's lot and Joanne
wanted to know where we could get the cones. It was suggested to call CHS or OMO. Joanne stated that
we could use some volunteers to help tape off the Gym floor and outside for the craft fair on Friday night
and that we still need one more judge.
Networking Program -Joanne stated that the next meeting will be on July 9`" at the Owl.
Chamber Centennial Committee (Jared, Lumpy, Aletta, Becky, Joanne) Joanne stated that there will
not be a flyover and that they are working on Aug. events. Joanne stated that we have the opportunity to
have another parade on the 9`" and also that the crafters would like to have another show.
New Business
Membership Drive -No new members to report.
e west for Donation Joanne reminded everyone of the letter of request form the Laurel Reserve
Volunteer Police for some funding. After discussion, Mark made a motion to approve a $4D0.00 donation.
seconded by Dean. All approved.
Farmers Market "Natural Life News" ad copy was shown to all.
MSU Int_ern_ Program Joanne stated that she would ask them to attend a meeting after the 4`"
Chen Forum 2 "Thank You's" to A'A Haus of Realty for a donation of bottled water for the Run.
Joanne shared the numbers for the events on the 4t" up to this date, stating that we ahead of last year in
both the parade and the run. She stated that she had asked Plantasha for flowers for the Grand Marshalls
Other discussions were to cover last minute items that needed to be picked up. Mark said he would take
care of the beer and even has some volunteers to help. Thanks Mark.
