The wild cat situation around 209 Forrest
Ave . has been a growing problem for many
years . About 4 years ago I wrote a letter to
the home owner offering to trap and have
euthanized all the wild and sick ones (at no
charge) and pay for the
spay/neuter , vaccination and
deworming of her 2 favorite cats . My letter
was ignored .
This is a hoarder situation that is not
healthy for people or animals . It happens in
other areas of Laurel too , so an ordinance
addressing this problem and future ones would
help to stop it . It is not just effecting
these cats but all cats , dogs , and people who
live in the area .
I will again offer to have the feral /sick cats
euthanized and pay for 2 spay/neuters ,
vaccinations and deworming . This person must
be told that 2 cats is all she is allowed to
have on her property ever or even if we deal
with it now we will be back dealing with the
same problem in a short time .
