OLD BUSINESS
• LARC donation - A check for$2100 was presented at the Business after Hours.
• Christmas Decorations — Marcia contacted Dennis Eaton. We will set up a time when it gets a
little cooler.
• Lunch &Learn — Was September 7th. We had 12 people show up.
NEW BUSINESS -
• Brackets for Christmas Decorations - New brackets on new decorations keep falling down. We
bought heavy duty strapping and they still fall. Mark Cloud says the new decorations are just that
much heavier and the wind is getting worse. Some of the options we discussed are one decoration
on each pole, or paying someone like Robertus to weld the brackets right on the poles.
• Off Season Hours— Do we want to stay at 9-4 or go 9-1?
Ribbon Cuttings The FFA at the High School is opening a new greenhouse and would like to have a
ribbon cutting. The School district is a member. No date has been set yet.

Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on August 10, 2017 at KC's Palace. In attendance were: Executive Board
Members: President- Mary Lou Batalden, Treasurer-Sandy Reese and executive secretary- Marcia Hafner
and Chamber Assistant Camilla Nelson. Directors: Carrie Smith, Donnie McVee, Bruce Larson, Renee
Studiner and Monica Rodenbeger. Members: Ken Gomer, Richard Klouse, Evan Bruce, Heidi Jensen, and
Noelle Eaton.
Mary Lou called the meeting to order.
The minutes were approved: moved to approve - Ken, Renee 2nd. Minutes were approved

Old BUSINESS
• Final 4th Profit & Loss_Page attached for Profit&Loss
• Farmer's Market- Mary Lou reported on how the Farmer's Market has been doing.The Celtic
dancers will be at next weeks. Marcia asked about the signs being put out.
• LARC donation - Marcia asked when would be a good time to set up a presentation of the money
we are donating to LARC. Ken will call with a day that will work.
New BUSINESS
• New Member- Laurel Trading Post
• Christmas Decorations- Marcia will call Dennis to set up a time to get the decorations
repaired
• Lunch & Learn- Member Patrick Rickard of"Clear & Present Danger" is hosting a Lunch &
Learn on optimizing your website. It will be September 7th, Thursday, at noon, at the Best
Western. He will be providing pizza and we will provide the pop. Free to members, public
at a cost. It was approved that we would purchase the pop.

OPEN FORUM
• Light bulbs- There are some light bulbs that need to be replaced at the Log Cabin
• Adult Resource Alliance- They are having a fundraiser August 25th at the Metra for
tickets call Judy at 259-9666
• City- Riverside Meeting @ Jaycee Hall Monday 14th 4-7pm to discuss repairs
