Board Meeting Minutes
June 12th, 2008 -Crossings
"Buildin abetter communit and economic rowth throw h communication and business relations"
Meeting was held on June 12th, 2008 at Crossings. In attendance were: President Jared Kaiser,
Co-Vice President Becky Dickerson, and Exec. Secretary Joanne Flynn; Directors: Linda Friclkle, Rene
Studiner, Mark Cloud, and Steve Diefenderter. Members, Coral Creek, Aletta Zimmerman, Diane and
Kristi Albers.
Jared called the meeting to order and held a moment of silence. The minutes from the May 29th meeting
were presented for approval Linda made a motion to approve, seconded by Steve. All approved. Joanne
gave the current bank account balances with reconciliation report attached. Becky made a motion to
approve seconded by Mark, all approved. Joanne added 1 item to the list of bills far the Run AD tat was
run in the Gazette for $136.00. Jared asked for approval of the bills, Mark, made a motion to pay the bills
as stated, seconded by Linda. All approved.
Old Business
Laurel Brochure =Joanne stated that most of the business had received them and she will get to the
east end ASAP.
July 4t" Committee: Set a time to meet at the Chamber on Wed., June 18t" at 4:00 to go over last
minute items and plans. Bob, Jared, Gary, Becky, Lumpy, Aletta and Joanne. Jared passed around the
"Sign Up" Sheet again for volunteers.
Networking~P ,gram -Members who attended expressed opinions on how well the program is going.
Next meeting will be at the Elite on June 1131", and Dean (Ace Hardware) will provide lunch.
Chamber Centennial Committee (Jared, Lumpy, Aletta, Becky, Joanne) will meet and work out details
for the All Class Reunion on July 5th -Lumpy has spoken to distributor, Joanne stated that the "Laurel
Bottled Water" is ready for sale at the businesses. Joanne asked if we want to sell promo items as well at
the Class Reunion.

Membership Drive -WELCOME TO ALL OUR NEW MEMBERS! Joanne reported 7 new members. Bobbi In

Re west for Dona 'o Joanne also shared a letter of request form the Laurel Reserve Volunteer Police
for same funding for their equipment. This was put on hold until the next meeting
Farmers Market Joanne informed the board of an advertising opportunity for our Farmers Market in a
publication called "Natural Life News" We were offered a 1/6t" page ad in full color for just $52.00. After
discussion, Linda made a motion to approve, seconded by Aletta.
MSU Intern Pro ram Joanne explained that there is a program called MSU Student Internship and
that we may be able to participate in that. She has invited them to do a presentation at an upcoming
meeting.
Open Forum 2 "Thank You's" to Water Specialties for a donation of the new bottled water and also to
Mike Nardella for sending help with a quick books problem.
Becky and Joanne showed the new Centennial T-Shirts, Post Cards and other items that came in and will
be for sale at the Chamber.
Joanne also showed a picture of a Billboard announcing Laurel's Centennial that will be up soon between
Billings and Laurel.
