ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTIONS 17.bb.070 OF THE LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE,
ADDING A PROVISION FOR PROVIDING NOTICE TO THE YELLOWSTONE
HISTORIC PRESERVATION BOARD UPON APPLICATION FOR A DEMOLITION
PERMIT PRIOR TO DEMOLITION OF THE BUILDING(S) PROVIDING FOR ATHREE-
BUSINESS-DAY PERIOD FOR PURPOSES OF PHOTOGRAPHING HISTORIC
BUILDINGS.
WHEREAS, the City Council desires to accommodate the photographing of historic buildings
far record keeping purposes of the Yellowstone Historic Preservation Board prior to the buildings
being demolished; and
WHEREAS, it is in the best interest of the City of Laurel to accommodate the photographing
of historic building(s) prior to the building(s) being destroyed;
IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council for the City of Laurel, Montana, that
Section 17.b6.070 of the Laurel Municipal Code is hereby amended to read as follows:

Yellowstone Historic Preservation Board.
2. Nothin herein shall reclude hinder or dela the issuance of a demolition ermit
in accordance with its re ulations and/or licies after the three-business-da
waiting_neriod has expired.
This Ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days a$er final passage by the City Cauncil
and approval by the Mayor.

May 6 , 2008, by Council Member

PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second reading this 17th day of
June , 2008, upon motion of Council Member Wilkins .
