DPW CONFERENCE ROOM
The Tree Board met on June 10'x. They reviewed the city tree list and deleted several species,
including willows and several others.
Kurt Mazkegazd presented the bids for the trimming. The Board recommended the low bid of
Patrick Reidl, who is a certified arborist.
Problems of maintaining trees and turf at the cemetery were discussed. Zt was suggested that
an article be placed in the Laurel Outlook explaining the lack of water and the difficulty in having
grass under evergreens.
A tentative date for planting a centennial tree in Thompson Park was set for August S~', the
anniversary of the city's inception.
The meeting adjourned and several members went to inspect ailing trees in Russell Park.
There were four large Black Locusts which were having problems. The Honey Locusts at the
library and at Veteran's Park seemed okay.
