The Laurel Lions Club has taken on the sponsorship of the Culpepper & Merriweather Circus which will
be in the community on July 5, 2008. This was a last minute decision to save the function upon the
decision by a planned sponsor to cancel their participation.
As a new sponsor, we have been advised to request trash/garbage removal service from the City of
Laurel. This request includes the cost of container and transport, etc. for the event. The Circus requires
a container of approx. 5 - 6 cubic yards. The Circus will be held in the practice field at the Laurel High
School.
