WHEREAS, the City of Laurel approved a Facade Improvement Grant Program proposed by the Laurel Urban Renewal Agency (LURA) through Resolution No. R10-116; and WHEREAS, the Eagles Bar submitted the attached LURA Facade Improvement Grant Program application for a total cost of approximately $22,500.00 for the facade improvements included with the application; and WHEREAS, the LURA Board reviewed the application and recommended approval for up to $13,450.00 in grant funding to help pay for the facade project; and WHEREAS, the application appears complete, the project is eligible for grant assistance and LURA recommends funding of the same. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana, that the Eagles Bar is awarded up to $13,450.00 in grant funding on a one-to-one match basis for its fagade improvement project through the Fagade Improvement Grant Program for the eligible improvements described as attached hereto from the City's Tax Increment Financing District Fund. The location is at 313 West Main Street. The Eagles have received two bids for $22,500 from Rudy Groshelie and $25,900 from J&J Construction. The Laurel Urban Renewal Agency has recommended an award up to 13,450 for a facade remodel at the Eagles Bar. The board unanimously (4-0) voted to approve the 1:1 match for fagade improvements. Any amount over $5,000 must be approved by City Council with a recommendation from the LURA Board. The application is attached.
