BUDGET/FINANCE COMMITTEE
JUNE 6,2017 5:35 P.M.

Chairwoman Emelie Eaton called the regular meeting of the Budget/Finance Committee to order at 5:35
p.m.
The next regular Budget/Finance meeting will be Tuesday,June 20, 2017 at 5:35 p.m.
The minutes of the May 16, 2017 meeting were reviewed. Doug made a motion to approve the minutes,
Chuck seconded the motion. Motion passed unanimously.
Claims received through 06/05/2017 and totaling$620,858.61 were presented to the committee. Tom
Nelson reviewed both the Claims Detail Register and the Check Register to ensure accuracy. Doug made
a motion to approve the claims, Chuck seconded the motion,all in favor,motion passed.
No purchase requisitions were presented to the committee.
The Comp/OT report for PPE 05/21/17 was reviewed by the Committee. There were no questions or
comments regarding the Comp/OT report.
The Payroll Register for PPE 05/21/17 totaling$170,956.61 was reviewed by the Committee. Doug
made a motion to recommend Council approval of the payroll register, seconded by Chuck,all in favor,
motion passed.
Clerk/Treasurer Comments:
Bethany presented a draft copy of the Management Budget to the committee. The Management Budget
will be presented to the Council at the 06/13/2017 workshop.
Mayor's Comments:
The Mayor stated that he is enjoying the nice weather we are having.
Other:
Chuck discussed a note that the Council Members had received,regarding the painted yellow curbs. A
citizen received a parking ticket while parked on a faded yellow curb. Chuck asked the Mayor to look
into repainting the curbs so the yellow is visible to citizens.
Heidi Jensen stated that she hired Ray Ezell for Chief Building Inspector. He will start 06/14/2017.
Chuck asked that all new hires be presented to the Council so the Council would know who they were.
