Dear Mayor Mace,
RE: Application for Treasure State Endowment Program 2019 Biennium funding
On May 8, 2017, Governor Bullock signed into law House Bill (HB) 11, which appropriates funds for the
Treasure State Endowment Program(TSEP)for the 2019 Biennium. HB 11 provides$19,672,151 in project
grant funds for infrastructure and bridge projects, $900,000 for infrastructure planning grants and
$100,000 in emergency project funding for the 2019 Biennium. Unfortunately, your project was not
included for funding in HB 11. The successful grantees and their respective award amounts are shown on
the attached list.
Department staff is available to assist you in reapplying to TSEP for 2021 biennium funding or assisting
you with moving your project forward with other potential resources. By reviewing your scoring with
staff, you can identify areas that can be strengthened in the next application. The new application and
guidelines for the 2021 biennium infrastructure grant cycle will be available in the fall of 2017, and
applications will be accepted in spring of 2018. If you need to conduct additional project planning before
then, infrastructure planning grants will become available in the next few months. Please be sure to check
your e-mail and the TSEP website, http://comdev.mt.gov/programs/TSEP, for updates, or contact Becky
Anseth,TSEP Program Manager,at 406-841-2770 or DOCTSEP@mt.gov.
