Meeting called to order @ 19:05 hours by Chairman John Smith
Members present were John Smith, Randy Hand, Shane Linse, & Brock Williams
Minutes approved of last meeting.
Guest present: Craig Canfield, Bob Miller of Northern Skies, & Will Metz and Nichole
Anderson.
Claims approved: Normal amounts for utilities and typical expenses. Non Typical amounts
of$26,607.14 for engineering fees to KU for runway work.
Reports,
Bob Olsen reported that the AWOS is working and is helpful, has already assisted in
providing legal weather for one of their flights. Bob also requested we look at dosing the
gates during day to reduce non-authorized persons from entering. (will need to contact
Jares Fence)
Craig Canfield:
1. AWOS, frequency is 135.05, and is complete and operational. Message
needs to be placed on old system describing new frequency and use.
2. Craig will process grant application for $400,000.00 for an Inter-cap Loan to
assure funds are available for construction, prepayment of unused amounts
without penalty.
3. FAA required Audit fees from Olness and Associates of $7,500 to audit
boards use of FAA funds. Audit triggered by amounts of grants from land
purchase and runway construction engineering. (this amount revised to
$9,250.00 due to specific FAA requirements.
Old business:
1. BIA facility is presently on hold due to budget issues. They will contact us
when their budget has been established if funds are available for staging
area. They are in process of an economic study at this time.
2. Will Metz sidewalk issue tentatively resolved. Board has agreed to do all
cleanup and pour a new sidewalk along west side of hangar to south
corner. Construction details to be finalized when weather permits
installation.

3. Snow plowing needs to be formalized as to when and where prior to next
winter, minor issues need resolved before they become exaggerated next
year.
New Business:
1. Radio for "neW' snowplow truck. Need to check if we have one,
Aerotronics may have a used one available
2. Brian Kjensmo hangar proposal
3. Need to review lease rates and gas tax to adjust for inflationary issues and
new costs for airport
4. Web page revisions to be done?
5. Parking in front of hangars, need to formalize unattended vehide
procedure to maintain obstade free area as per our FAA design.
