spoken to the teachers at the South School, and the children ~om there will provide some of the
program. He will also ask the Laurel Outlook to include an article announcing the gathering. The

Plans were also made to purchase a Mossy Cup Burr Oak, a slow growing long-lived tree, for
planting in the southwest part of Thompson Park in observance of the 100 year celebration during
those festivities.
Kurt Markegard reported that he was trying to contact tree maintenance people for pruning.
He also suggested the use of anti-desiccant sprays for the evergreens in the cemetery, especially
since no water is available there in the winter months. He also said there was a need for more
pipe there.
