Laurel Urban Renewal Tax Increment Financing District

Dear Ms. Embleton:
The Department is in receipt of the documents relating to the Laurel Urban Renewal
Tax Increment Financing District (TIF DiStrict). We have reviewed these documents
and are of the opinion that the TIF District has been created in compliance with
Montana Law.
The Department will begin identifying the parcels located within the TIF District in order
to establish the District's base taxable value. The District will be recognized when the
Department certifies property values in August. The District will have a base year of
January 1, 2007.
