A purchase requisition was presented to the committee by Kurt Markegard,Public Works Director. The
purchase requisition was for a side-by-side ATV totaling$12,000.00. Kurt stated that the ATV would be
used by the street department to plow sidewalks and other smaller areas during the winter. The Cemetery
would use the ATV during the spring-fall months to move the large nozzle. These nozzles cost almost
$12,000.00 apiece and are quite heavy. The ATV will also be used at the Cemetery for maintenance
because the larger pieces of equipment, currently being used there, are too heavy for the roads, causing
damage. The ATV will also be used at the Cemetery for grave sites. Chuck asked if Kurt could write
something up for the paper to publish to explain the purchase.Doug made a motion to approve the
purchase requisition,seconded by Emelie,all in favor,motion passed.
