Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on February 9th, 2017 at Sid's East Side. In attendance were: Executive Board
Members: President- Mary Lou Batalden,Treasurer-Sandy Reese and executive secretary- Marcia Hafner.
Directors: Amanda Powell&Monica Rodenberger, Billie Lehman,Carrie Smith, Donnie McVee for Lucas
Larson, Brent Renier, Katie Whitmoyer. Members: Mike Lehman, David Keyes, Heidi Jensen and Bethany
Keeler.
Mary Lou called the meeting to order.
The minutes were approved: moved to approve-Carrie, 2"d - Brent.
The financial report was presented.
Old BUSINESS
• Annual Meeting - We had less people attend, 89, but we had a lot of great raffle items. Marcia
had several calls about how nice it was. The Chamber made a couple hundred more than last
year on the raffles, etc. (The profit/loss report was attached.)
• Middle School Volunteer Day- Still looking for somewhere to volunteer. Feb. 22"d.
• New Hire -Job is still open.
New BUSINESS
• Restore America's Parks- Marcia presented a letter the Chamber received asking us to add
the Laurel Chamber to a letter in support of address the backlog of maintenance in the National
Parks. It was moved to sign: Sandy, 2"d- Billie.
• Reminder of Exchange Club Meeting -Thursday, 5:30 at KC's Palace.
• July 4th-Already gotten 3 entries.
• Farmers Market - Mary Lou wants to start working on that now. She will be meeting
with our Market Manager.
OPEN FORUM
• Interstate Bank - Has expressed an interest in getting some of our business.
