EMERGENCY SERVICES COMMITTEE
NOVEMBER 28, 2016

The committee discussed solutions to stop trucks from parking in front of Rimrock Chevrolet. There
were suggestions to extend yellow curbing and add signs. The question was asked if the ordinance needs
to be revised. Tom Nelson said the city needs to enforce the laws that are already in the ordinance. The
solution is to handle it on a complaint basis. A complaint should be made to the police department when
there is a truck parked on the street. An officer will handle the situation with the driver of the truck.
Once a driver knows that his truck is too large and not permitted to park within the city limits, then the
word will get out to other drivers and the situation will begin to disappear.
Continued Update on County EMS
There was no discussion. A meeting is scheduled with Brad Shoemaker later in the week.
Mill Levy
The committee asked if more discussion is needed with the fire department and county wide EMS before
considering a mill levy. Further discussion will be needed.
