hopefully in November.
Nancy attended the Montana Shared Catalog meeting in Helena on October 6th at Carroll.
College. Training and Birds-of-a-feather dinners were held the day before at the State Library
and Brewhouse Pub and Grille.
The Federation Coordinator's meeting and State Library Commissioner's meeting were very
informational. The State Library is creating a new Strategic Plan for 2016-2021. We are all
encouraged to review the draft version and submit comments or ideas to Jennie Stapp.New
versions will be listed on the MSL website for further review.
The main focus at the PLD/ASLD Retreat at Chico was Internet Security in Your Library, Happy
and Productive Staff, Dealing With Employee Conflict, and Getting Out from Behind Fort
Reference. All of these were very good topics for our libraries and management teams.
The book sale starts next Tuesday and runs all week—October 25th to October 29th. Hours will
be 9:00am to 7:00pm on Tuesday, Wednesday & Thursday; 9:00 am to 5:00pm on Friday, and
9:00am to 4:00pm on Saturday. Volunteers are still needed to work the sale. Library staff will
help when possible.
New Business
There are three holidays in November this year, not two. The 8th, 11th, and 24th are Federal

Other

weeks but she is being scheduled off for the full six as a 'just in case' scenario.
