AN ORDINANCE APPROVING THE RECODIFICATION OF ORDINANCES
ADOPTED BY THE CITY COUNCIL THAT HAVE BEEN COMPILED AS THE
"LAUREL MUNICIPAL CODE" IN ACCORDANCE WITH MCA § 7-$-107.
WHEREAS, the State of Montana requires City Councils to approve its publication and
recodification of ordinances at least once every five (5) years in accordance with MCA § 7-5-107; and
WHEREAS, the Laurel Municipal Code was recodified to include all new ordinances as well as
modifications to existing ordinances over the past few years; and
WHEREAS, it is currently appropriate for the City Council to approve thc City's annual
recodifieation of the Laurel Municipal Code.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED, by the Laurel City Council that the compilation and
recodification of the City's Ordinances are hereby approved.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City Council
and approved by the Mayor.
Introduced and passed on first reading at a regular meeting of the City Council on

PASSED and ADOPTED by the Laurel City Council on second reading this 17th day of
July ,2007, upon motion of Council Member Easton
