We saw the enclosed newspaper article recognizing Laurel as an active Tree City USA
community, and wanted to write and thank you for making trees a priority in your town. We are
proud to recognize your work to bring the many benefits of city trees to Laurel and applaud your
efforts to support community forest/.
Thank you for your leadership and your comtratment to increasing public awareness and the
tree canopy and making Laurel a better place for generations to come.
Congratulations on being in the Tree City USA program for one year! This is a significant
