We have been pushing toward this goal for many that the work of the League over the past year has earned your the 2007 Legislature, the League continued to work to protect the financial '~y and management authority of cities, while looking at new and better ways ce the interests of municipal govenunent ~'~'~s was a difficult session of the Legislature. It set a new standard for negativity by killing mom than 40% of the bills that were introduced. Results for cities followed this general pattern. The Legislature passed very few bills that will make your job easier, while it killed most of the measures that would have made it more complicated and difficult to manage a city or town. It has been an honor to work for the cities and towns of Montana again this year. We rely on your support, appreciate your encouragement and value your friendship. Best Wishes, Alec Hansen Debbie Jones
