Rules & Regulations for Utility Services:
Kurt brought a copy of the Rules and Regulation to the meeting to discuss revising the book and bringing
it up- to- date. The book was adopted in 2003 by resolution. Kurt stated that there are new procedures
that the city is doing that are not in the book. For example, the City now takes credit card payments and
offers automatic payments for utility bills. Repairing lead lines was also discussed, which is also not in
the book. A suggestion was made to set up a committee, possibly staff, to go through the book and do any
updates or changes that need to be made. Kurt stated that this will probably take a few months.
Other:
First Avenue waterline repair has been delayed until spring due to weather.
Emelie asked about utility lines going in on West Railroad. Kurt stated that he did not know what they
were.
Richard Herr asked if the City could do anything about the trains blocking intersections causing traffic
delays.
The meeting was adjourned at 6:35 p.m.
