COUNCIL CONFERENCE ROOM MEMBERS PRESENT: Emelie Eaton Chuck Dickerson Doug Poehls Tom Nelson OTHERS PRESENT: Shirley Ewan Mayor Mark Mace Chairman Eaton called the regular meeting of the Budget/Finance Committee to order at 5:30 p.m. There was no public present. The next scheduled meeting will be October 4, 2016. The minutes of the September 6, 2016 meeting were presented. Doug made a motion to approve the minutes as presented, seconded by Chuck,motion passed. The Utility Billing adjustments were reviewed by the Committee. Shirley stated there were no unusual adjustments. The Mayor has reviewed and signed the August journal voucher. Doug made a motion to approve the August journal voucher and the utility billing adjustments. The motion was seconded by Chuck. All in favor, motion passed. The monthly financial statements were reviewed by the Committee. Shirley stated that 17% of the new fiscal year has expired and the City is at 7% revenue collected and 6% of authorized expenditures spent. She then went briefly through the report. Doug made a motion to accept the financial statements, seconded by Tom. Motion passed. There were no Purchase Requisitions presented to the Committee. The Comp/Overtime report for PPE 9/11/16 was reviewed by the Committee. There were no questions. The Payroll Register for PPE 9/11/16 totaling $174,825.15 was reviewed by the Committee. Doug made a motion to recommend approval of the payroll register to the Council, Tom seconded the motion. Motion passed. Clerk/Treasurer's Comments: Shirley mentioned that 5 applications have been received for her position. 1 Mayor's Comments: The Mayor reported that the Governor will be at Riverside Park tomorrow at 10:30 a.m. to receive the Exxon oil spill payment. Other: It was mentioned that the Park Board's request for moving forward with the Riverside Park Master Plan will be discussed at the next Council workshop. For the Next Agenda: Update from Tom regarding his meetings with the State about their responsibility in the 2011 flooding.
