O06-14 ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LAUREL, MONTANA, TO CHANGE THE ZONING OF MACE SUBDIVISION, LOCATED IN A PORTION OF THE SE~A OF SECTION 8, T2S, R24E, PMM, FROM RESIDENTIAL TRACTS TO RESIDENTIAL 6000. WHEREAS, the owners of Mace Subdivision, Ioceted in a portion of the SE~A of Section 8, T2S, R24E, PMM, according to the records on file and of record in the office of the Clerk and Recorder of Yellowstone County, in the Laurel Zoning Jurisdictional Area have requested a zone change from Residential Tracts to Residential 6000; and WHEREAS, the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board has reviewed such request and recommends that it be approved; and WHEREAS, the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board conducted a duly advertised public hearing on November 2, 2006 at which no one pretested such change; and WHEREAS, the City Council of Laurel also held a duly advertised public hearing at which the City Council considered the request for the zone change as recommended by the City-County Planning Board and st which both pro and con public comments were heard; WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Laurel hereby finds it is in the best interests of the residents of the City of Laurel to approve this zone change for the proper development and orderly growth of the City; IT IS HEREBY ORDAINED by the City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana that the request to change the unplatted NE/NE/SE/SE~A Section 8, T2S, R24E, PMM containing a gross acreage of 2.301 acres, also known as Mace Subdivision, fi.om Residential Tracts to Residential 6000 be appreved. This ordinance shall become effective thirty (30) days after final passage by the City Council and approved by the Mayor.
