Board Meeting Minutes
The Meeting was held on August 11, 2016 at Guadalajara. In attendance were: Executive Board
Members: President- Holly Anderson,VP-Amanda Powell, and executive secretary- Marcia Hafner.
Directors: Donnie McVee, Cindy Drake, Bruce Larson. Members: Drs. Sam and Erin Stokke. We did not have
a quorum present.
Holly called the meeting to order.
The minutes were presented.
The finandal report and bills were presented.
Old BUSINESS
• Recruitment for new board members- Several names were suggested.
• Laurel Downtown Farmers Market - The market was cancelled for this year. We had 2
vendors show up the first 2 weeks.
• USA Communications - Marcia presented the proposal. USA Communication are
members and Century Link is no longer a member. Because we did not have a quorum, a
vote was sent out via email. The vote was nine voting yes and two not voting.
New BUSINESS
• New Members-
• Spotlight on Business - Always looking for new.
• Hiring Committee - The executive board will be putting together a committee to look at
hiring a permanent, part-time employee who may have an interest in replacing Marcia
when she retires.
• Annual Meeting - Amanda brought up that Big Sky Economic would like to do a 10-15
min. presentation at the annual meeting.
