Meeting called to order at 1900 by Chah'nmn]ohn Smith.
Members present were Bill Brennan,Bob Western,and Roy Zahra.
Guests present were Bob Redding,Crnig Canfield, Steve Hinma~,and lhndy P.
Minutes of the previous meeting were approved as read.
Bills were presented and approved.
Received correspondence complaining about the high cost of belonging to the Laurel Fire
District.
.~mended the Minimum Standards for the Laurel Airport. Change the wording to read"only
use"rathur than"primary use".Added any ese of wood in the hangur will change the fke
classification. Added an annual hangur will be requin~,~d to insure compliance. Moved by
Westurn,esconded by Brennan to approve changes,motion passed. Thees changes are
necessary to comply with F.A.A.guidelines and imm~e our eligibility fox funding.
We received notification that a hangar in the"old hang~x area"was being used for lumber
storage and there was no a~crafl in the building.
New minimum standurds for new hangar const~'vction have been e"~.a.blished. Discussed future
hanga.~ development.
Discussed cross wind nmway options. F.~'tending runway 32/14 is not feasible because of the
hills ine the flight path.
Steve Inman requested permism'on to hold a Cessna 170 fly-in on August 26.A NOTAM win
have to be issued. Penvi~n was g~anted.
