Flu Shots:
Perry thanked Guy Rollson for putting together the flu shots offered to employees at the
Laurel Medical Center in November.
Guy Rolison stated that Dave Allen, our insurance representative, made many phone calls
to get the flu shots set up. Dave is trying to obtain the number of city employees that took
advantage of the flu shots to help the committee detet~mine if this will be offered in the
same manner next year.
Guy went on to say that the only negative thing on the flu shots was that several city
employees, not enrolled on the City's health insurance, went up to get a flu shot and were
not elig~le to get it flee. Next year the wording on the paycheck stub needs to be
worded "flee flu shots to those employees enrolled in the City of Laurel health insurance
plan".
There has been no indication whether MMIA will be able to offer more than one type of
health care plan for the renewal on July 1 st. The City normally gets information on the
rates and available coverage 90 days prior to July 1a.
The committee will meet again on Thursday, April 12, 2007 at 5:00 pm
