ORDINANCE AMENDING THE OFFICIAL ZONING MAP OF THE CITY OF LAUREL,
MONTANA, TO CHANGE THE ZONING OF NORTHEAST ONE QUARTER OF
SECTION 2, TOWNSHIP 2 SOUTH, RANGE 24 EAST, PMM, ALSO KNOWN AS
BROOKWOOD SUBDMSION, FROM AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE
AND UNZONED TO RESIDENTIAL TRACTS
WHEREAS, the owners of Brookwood Subdivision, being the northeast one quarter of Section 2, Township
2 south, Range 24 east, PMM in the Laurel Zoning Jurisdictional Area have requested a zone change from
Agriculturul-Open Space and unzoned land to Residential Tracts; and
WHEREAS, the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County Planning Board has reviewed such request and
recommends that it be approved; and
WHEREAS, the Laurel-Yellowstone City-County pMnnin§ Board conducted a duly advertised public
hearing on September 7, 2006 at which no one protested such change; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of Laurel also held a duly advertised public hearing at which the City
Council considered the request for the zone change as recommended by the City-County Plnnnin~ Board and at
which both pro and con public comments were heard;
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Laurel hereby fmds it is in the best interests of the residents of
the City of Lanrel to approve this zone change for the proper development and orderly growth of the City;
1T IS HERI~Y ORDAINED bythe City Council of the City of Laurel, Montana that the request to change
the northeast one quarter of Section 2, Township 2 south, Range 24 east, PMM, also known as Brookwood
Subdivision to Residential Tracts Zoning be approved.
This ordinance shall become effective thirty {30) days after final passage by the City Council and approved
by the Mayor.

Alderperson Hart
